BIOGRAPHY

HERITAGE NO : 1146
An injury and suspension crisis saw Gray brought in at the end of the 2004 campaign from Wests Tigers in Sydney. He played in four out of the last five matches and scored his only try for the Saints on debut against Huddersfield Giants as part of a 48 points to 12 victory. With the signing of Jamie Lyon for the 2005 season, Gray moved on to Widnes where he found his way regularly on to the scoresheet, with 13 tries from 20 appearances.

Born in Otahuhu, New Zealand, he cut a powerful figure and could play either in the centre or second row with equal effectiveness. In 2006 he moved to newly-promoted Castleford where his try scoring exploits were taken to another level, with 14 touchdowns from 27 appearances. In 2007, he was recruited by Salford to replace the departing Junior Langi, where he played 11 times and scored twice. Rumour has it that Gray kept playing for a while after returning Down Under, although his post Super League career needs further research.
